WVNCC to host fall virtual Open Houses
and give away a $1,000 scholarship


WHEELING, W.VA – West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) will host four virtual Open Houses via Zoom for perspective students and their families to learn about programs, the admissions process, financial aid, student activities and more. Anyone who attends one of the virtual Open Houses will be eligible to win a $1,000 WVNCC Foundation Scholarship.
Northern Virtual Open Houses will take place on Saturday, November 7, and Saturday, November 14. Each Open House will focus on different programs Northern has to offer. The Virtual Open House on November 7, from 9 – 10:30 a.m. will focus on Healthcare programs. On that same day from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. people interested in Liberal Arts, Criminal Justice, Education and Human Services should attend. On November 14, from 9 – 10:30 a.m. will be the Virtual Open House that focuses on Applied Technologies and Culinary Arts. Later that day from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. the Open House for people interested in Business, Associate in Science and Computer Information Technologies will be held. People are welcomed to attend more than one Virtual Open House if they are undecided. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend as well.
After a brief overview of the event and Northern, participants will be able to move into virtual breakout rooms to gather information and ask faculty and staff questions. Anyone interested in attending the event can go to www.wvncc.edu and visit the Open House page to get the Zoom link.
During the virtual event perspective students can learn how to apply and register for classes. Applications are available online at www.wvncc.edu.
