Joseph W. Kalisz, 68, of Steubenville passed in the Emergency Room at Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville on Friday, November 13, 2020, after becoming suddenly ill at home.
A son of the late Chester and Adella Zablackas Kalisz, Joe was born on December 30, 1951 in Steubenville. He was 68 years old.
He worked 32 years as an electronics technician at Weirton Steel before retiring. More recently Joe worked as an electronics technician for Infinity Computer Services in Wintersville. Joe loved his Harley Davidson. He and his wife Denise made many great memories on their many adventures on his bike. Also, Joe loved to shoot pool, and he was a member of the Weirton Steel 25-year club. He graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central High School, and he belonged to the Chester First United Methodist Church.
Sadly, he leaves his wife, Denise Yeater Kalisz, who he married on March 4, 2000, in Daytona Beach Florida during Bike Week. There are three children, Meredith (Les) Baldwin of Myrtle Beach, Joseph (Marylin) Kalisz of Dallas, TX., and Jonathan (Megan) Yeater of East Liverpool. Also surviving are his sisters, Kathy Savinell of Steubenville, Janet Boyuk of Steubenville, and Nancy (Jim) Lopresto of Virginia; a special niece, Erin (Doug Wells) Stacy, and their children, Aubrie, and Mila Wells, as well as eleven other close nieces and nephews, and dogs, Jaxon, and Tera.
Private services are being planned at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, WV.
