Gov. Jim Justice issued a new executive order establishing a statewide indoor face covering requirement effective November 14, 2020. The order requires all West Virginians age 9 and older to wear an adequate face covering when in confined, indoor spaces where others may be present, regardless of one’s perceived ability to social distance from other individuals. Additionally, the new order requires that all businesses and organizations that invite the public into their facilities must post adequate signage advising guests of the requirement and are also responsible for ensuring the requirement is being followed.
