Catherine Charlotte Fields Hudson, 85, daughter of the late Allen and Edna Fields, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 24, 2020 in Fountaintown, IN. Born on December 22, 1935 in Pine Grove, WV, she moved to New Cumberland, WV, her beloved home for almost 80 years, before moving to live with her daughter, Lynn, in Indiana.
Her lifelong passion was for her Lord, her family, and her church. She shared her love and commitment to her Saviour, Jesus Christ, by raising her four children to know Him, and by serving Him faithfully in His body at New Cumberland Christian Church. She used her musical talent as pianist to accompany worship, choir, youth programs, including “Sing Out,” and Christian Endeavor. She also served as church secretary and custodian.  Her love for the elderly endeared her to all at the Hancock County Senior Citizen Center while she was employed there. She is now hearing the Lord that she loved saying to her, “Well done, good and faithful servant....enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

She is survived by one son, Don Hudson(Sandra), Lexington, KY; three daughters, Lynn Smith(Michael), Fountaintown, IN, Joan Taylor, Tucson, AZ, and Laurie Nicholson(Dante), Palmdale, CA; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews; 4 sister-in-laws, including Gay Fields, her very dear friend; and many of her beloved church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Edna Fields; three brothers, Allen Fields, Jr.(Janet), William Fields(Emily), and Oreon Fields; two son-in-laws, Dean Adkins and Tom Taylor, and her very best friend, Paul Hudson.
Visitation will be at New Cumberland Christian Church on Wednesday, December 30, 10am-12pm. A funeral service will be held at 12pm. Interment will be at New Cumberland Cemetery.
