Donna Marie Hackney Gill Wymer, 65, of East Liverpool, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021. At her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born, July 25, 1955, in Maine, she was a daughter of the late, Rev. Herbert and Margaret Jennings Hackney.
Donna attended East Liverpool High School and she continued her education at Dallas North Community Church, earning a degree in the Old Testament.
Donna was formerly employed at Cindy’s restaurant, she worked as a manager at Hill’s Department Store, and a clerk at Wyannt’s Carryout. She finished her employment as a manager at Downton East Liverpool Giant Eagle, retiring after 20+ years. Donna was a proud co-owner and operator of Wymer’s Lawn Care Service.
Donna was a devoted Christian, she enjoyed playing the piano, singing and she was honored to be the song leader of the Praise and Worship Service.
Donna was family-oriented, but she loved and adored her grandchildren with everything she had in her. One of Donna’s favorite things to do was find a good yard sale.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 46 years, Richard L. Wymer; children, Angela Lowther and her husband John, Thomas Gill, and his wife, Karrie, Richard A. Wymer and his wife, Missy and Jason C. Wymer, and his wife, Mellissa, all of East Liverpool; brothers, Timothy and Jeff Hackney both of East Liverpool; sisters, Sandy Tiso (Ron) of Carrolton, TX., Lena Rutner (John) of East Liverpool, Nancy Anthony (Greg) of Frisco, TX.; grandchildren, Ashley Lowther (John Brown), Anna Swickard (Andrew), Kyra Gill, Zachary Gill, Alleigh Ingledue (Chris), Kelsie Wymer, Kaden Della-penna, Jason Wymer Jr., Evan Wymer, and Adam Wymer.
Arrangements were handled by Arner Funeral Chapel.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Richard to help defray the cost of the funeral.
