Victor Rossi

Victor A, Rossi passed peacefully with his family by his side on January 30, 2021 in Weirton, WV at the age of 96.  Victor is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Lucy Rossi, brothers, Domenic, Sam and John Rossi.
 Victor was born on September 9, 1924 in New Cumberland, West Virginia to immigrant Italian parents, Frank and Lucy Rossi.  Victor attended New Cumberland High School until his senior year when he joined the Army during World War II.  After completing nearly three years of service as a medic, Victor attended business college, then received his GED.  Victor worked for Weir Cove Moving & Storage for 43 years as the secretary controller.  He was also a licensed insurance agent and owner of several self-employed busine,sses.
  Victor was a member of many local organizations including a lifetime membership in the Weirton Moose, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Elks, Funseekers, VFW and Sons of Italy.  He was an active member of the Men’s Club of Immaculate Conception Church in New Cumberland and held various positions.
Victor was a kind, loving, soft-spoken man, who had a great pride and joy for his family.  He will always be remembered for his wit and strong memory of knowledge.
Victor is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou Rossi, his brother, Dino Rossi, as well as three children, Victoria (Kevin) Kozlowski, Valerie (James) Gump and Vincent (Analiza) Rossi and five grandchildren, Kory and Kyle Kozlowski, Macey and Emily Gump and Maxwell McEndree Rossi.
 The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Weirton Medical Center well as Drs. John Cherian and Cherian John.
