Judith Shenton

Judith Ann “Judy” “Big Mom” Shenton, 81, of Chester, passed, Monday, February 16, 2021, at her home, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born May 1, 1939, in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Harold C. Bickerstaff and Martha J. Swisher.
She was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1957. Judy formerly worked at East Liverpool City Hospital as the Executive Secretary of Nursing and she was last employed at Chaney’s Sunoco Station in Chester for over twenty years and had many fond memories of her Chaney’s family.
Judy was a Protestant by faith. She was an avid reader who loved a good book, and she enjoyed taking walks through the upper end, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
Judy will be missed by her loving husband of 63 years, Clifford C. Shenton; her sons, Mark Shenton and his wife Jody, and Michael J. Shenton and his wife Terry, all of Chester; her sister, Beverly Walker of New Cumberland, West Virginia; and her brother, John Bickerstaff, and his wife Mary of Redington Beach, FL. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Lana Irwin, Chelsea Shenton, Matthew Shenton and Michael D. Shenton; and her great-grandchildren, Cam, Andie, Mack and Lincoln.
Arrangements were handled by the Arner Funeral Chapel.
