Kathy Jo Anderson, 49, of New Cumberland, died Friday, Feb 19, 2021 while surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.
She was born March 29, 1971 in East Liverpool, Ohio, to the late Barbara Anderson.
She was last employed by FedEx Ground in Moon. She was a member of the Tomlinson Run Church of Christ, where she previously taught the little kids Bible class. She was a WV 4-H All Stars and treasurer of the Hancock County 4-H All Stars and a previous member of Hancock County 4-H.
Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her, uncle William “Bill” Anderson, who helped raise her, and by many aunts and uncles.
Surviving are her sister, Karen Anderson of New Cumberland, who was her loving caregiver for the past two years; two brothers, Larry “Liz” Anderson of Virginia and Jim (Shelly) Anderson of New Cumberland, nieces, Jenn (Al) Iman, April (Brent) Johns, Casey (Christy) Anderson; nephews, Jason Stratman, and Jason (Jeri) Anderson; and also by four great-nieces and nephews, Taylor and Evan Johns, and Aiden and Ava Anderson.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 24,2021, from 4p.m. until time of funeral services at 7p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, WV.
