SWANEY LIBRARY TO FORM “FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY” GROUP Swaney Memorial Library is forming a “Friends of the Library” Group. The group will meet about once a month to discuss, plan, and carry our events for the library as well as helping in the library. After all, the library belongs to you, the community. Anyone can join the group. We would like help from Adults, Teens, Tweens and Children. Please call or stop in the Library to sign up. First meeting will be held in November. Come Onboard! Chief John Hissam recently celebrated 50 years of service to the Chester Volunteer Fire Department and the City of Chester, WV. Chief Hissam was recognized for his service by his fellow firemen and the community on Wednesday, March 3 and presented a golden axe for his outstanding contributions. Please join us in congratulating the Chief on 50 years!
