The Hancock County Commission will be accepting sealed bids for grass cutting of county-owned properties in the following packages:
Package #1 –
Flatts Cemetery, Union Cemetery, Methodist Cemetery; in New Manchester, WV
Package #2 –
Three Springs Drive Cemetery, Cove Valley playground, Peter Tarr Furnace; in Weirton, WV
All interested bidders can obtain aerial photos and directions/descriptions of each package by contacting the Commission office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30AM to 4:30PM. Copies can be mailed, faxed, or emailed.
Each property needs to be cut as frequently as necessary to keep the grass presentable starting April 15, 2021 and must continue to be cut until October 30, 2021. No sub-contracting is permitted.
Sealed bids may be dropped off at the Commission office or mailed to PO Box 485, New Cumberland, WV 26047. If bidding on all packages, separate envelopes with the package number must be submitted for each package. Bids will be accepted until 4:00pm on April 19, 2021. Bids will be opened and awarded immediately thereafter. The successful bid winners will be notified upon approval at the April 22, 2021 Commission meeting.
The Hancock County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
