Dave “Boe” Cline has filed for the New Cumberland Mayor’s seat. A newcomer to City Government, Cline has devoted time to volunteering to the Food Closet and putting up Christmas lights since retiring from his State job ten years ago.
Cline graduated from Oak Glen High School in 1975. The Second Avenue resident has resided in New Cumberland most of his life. He grew up on South Chester Street and has many fond memories of his childhood and the community New Cumberland used to be. He would like to see New Cumberland returned to that community.
In looking to projects that might be addressed with the $420,000.00 New Cumberland will receive from the American Recovery Funds, Cline cites the repair of Porter Street which has resulted in the flooding Bob and Dorothy Swearingen’s basement for many, many years. He also would like to see a restaurant relocated to New Cumberland and even pursue a fast food restaurant.
