Councilman Will White is seeking the Mayor’s seat in New Cumberland. Now in his second term senting Ward II, White serves as Finance Committee and Water/Sewage Committee Chairman. Prior to being elected to Council, White served as a citizen appointment on the Water/Sewer Committee for three years.

He returned to New Cumberland in 2004 and since his retirement has been an active volunteer both in City Government and on the New Cumberland Cemetery Board.
White said that one of the most critical projects to the community has been the upgrade of the water/sewer system. As Water/Sewer Committee Chair White has shepherded the project since 2013 and after seven years he sees much of the work coming to fruition. He said the new water system include new tanks, piping, radio read system for water bills.
While the City awaits guidance on the $420,000 it will receive in American Rescue Act funds, White believes it would greatly benefit the community to direct some of those funds for the infrastructure of water/sewer, vehicles and tearing down some of the dilapidated buildings in the community.
