Sharon L. Kource of New Cumberland, passed in the emergency room at East Liverpool City Hospital on Friday, July 9, 2021, after becoming suddenly ill at her home.
82 years old, Sharon was born on May 5, 1939, at Big Engine in Mingo County West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late John Van Pelt and Nellie Gattrell, and her stepfather, Harold Gattrell.
Sharon was very civic-minded, she was very benevolent with her time to several community activities. She had been a member of the Newell Lions Club, and she was a 1957 graduate of Weir High School. Sharon’s carrier was as a legal secretary, working for several attorneys in the Weirton area.
Along with her parents, sadly she was also preceded in death by two grandsons, B.J., and Christopher Little.
Sharon shared a wonderful life with her husband, George Kource who survives at home. They were married on September 7, 1974. She will also be deeply missed by her children, Brian (Mary Jane) Little of Ohioville, PA., Randy (Tammy) Little of East Liverpool, and Maverick (Trendel) Little of Chester. Also, she is survived by four grandsons, Joseph St. George, Isiah Glasure, and Robbie, and Ryan Mellott, and three great-grandchildren, Lorelei St. George, Tyson St. George, and Henry Charles Mellott.
Sharon’s wishes were that private family services take place at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
