Marjorie Jennings

Majorie A. “Marj” Jennings, 81, of Chester, went to be the Lord, Thursday, August 12, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born, November 15, 1939, in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Blaine and Ann Yetso Pinney.

Marj was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1957. She continued her education at West Virginia Northern University earning an Associate Degree in Nursing.  She was formerly employed at East Liverpool City Hospital and the former Potters Medical Center. Marj found a change of heart and went on to earn another Bachelor’s Degree in Education from West Liberty University. She was a substitute teacher throughout the Tri-County area and she sought to inspire her students as she had been inspired by some of her teachers.

Marj was a lifetime member of the Ladies Guild of Sacred Heart Church, she was also a member of the N.M.A.M. Card Club. Marj was a well-known seamstress in the area, she was a very detailed oriented person, taking pride in all her work.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 62 years, Donald H. Jennings; children, Pamela Allison and her husband Dan of Chester, Mary Thorn and her husband Kenny of Chester, Steven Jennings of Rayland, OH. and Michael Jennings and his wife Karina of Seattle, WA.; siblings, Patricia France, and her husband Larry of Pittsburgh, Blaine Pinney and his wife Paula of Villages, FL., Grayce Copeland and her husband Mack of Palmyra, PA.; grandchildren, Jocelyn Allenby (Gary) of Monaca, PA., Matthew Ford (Katie) of Wheeling, Brittany Bentz (Mark) of Washington, PA., Erik Jennings of CA., Tyler Jennings (Alyssa) of Seattle, WA., and Melody Jennings of Wheeling. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren, Isabella, Bryce, Benjamin, and Ash.
