The Hancock County Commission gave its approval August 19 to the “Last Outlaw in the Creek” event slated for August 27 & 28 at the Get Together Picnic Grounds at 3934 Kings Creek.   Action on sending  a letter to the Alcohol & Beverage Control Commission (ABCC) stating the Commission had no objection to granting a permit for alcohol for the event was tabled at the Commission’s last regular meeting.  Commissioners opted instead to wait and see if a similar event held August 12-13 and sponsored by Misty Ash dba as Shooterz resulted in any problems with neighbors or law enforcement. 

         The special meeting was scheduled to give ample time for the Commissioner’s letter to reach the ABCC to approve the permit request in time for the event.
