The New Cumberland Riverfest will again host a wonderful Art Show during the Riverfest on September 25 and 26,2021. It is a chance for local artists, young and old to showcase their talents. Friends and neighbors are always surprised at the talent that lies hidden within the community. Art may be dropped off at the building near the Riverfest stage between the hours of 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Friday, September 25, 2021. Any art medium is accepted, however, all pieces should be ready to hang with wire. Artist’s names and contact numbers must accompany each piece and only two pieces per artist will be accepted. The art shall be on display both days of the Riverfest and must be picked up by 4:00pm on Sunday, September 26,2021. A “Kid’s Corner” will be featured during the Art Show. Children’s art shall be categorized by grades and judged. Monetary prizes and ribbons will be awarded by Saturday afternoon. Art teachers submitting student’s works will receive a $50.00 donation for their art departments. This year the Riverfest Committee will offer a free Painting Class for middle school aged students taught by local artists, Joyce Beatty and Nancy Wright. The class will take place in the Art Show Building at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 25, 2021 and it is limited to a dozen students.
