Mason Konchar has been named Scholar of the month for September 2021. A Senior at Oak Glen High School, he is the  second son to George Konchar and Cindy Konchar and a Chester resident.

     Mason credits  becoming  an active member of National Honor Society with becoming intertwined with the community.  He has volunteered with various activities including Shop with A Cop.  Track & Field is his forte and he specializes in long distance.  His team won the 2021 4A OVAC Cross Country Championship.

    According to Mason traveling brings him great joy allowing him to meet new people and experience new adventures.

     “I  plan on enlisting into the military to better financially support my future,” said Mason.“The community has made me into the person I am today, allowing me the opportunity to pursue my passion.”

       The Lions’ Scholar of the Month Program is sponsored by District 29L, Region 1, Zone 1 comprised of clubs in Chester, New Cumberland and Newell, West Virginia.
