Steve Orgovan

 Steve Orgovan 73 of Chester, WV., passed away on November 2, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born December 17, 1947, in Washington Co. He was the son of the late Steve Maglione and Esther Boyer.

Surviving is his wife, Dorothy (DeVore) Orgovan of Chester, WV, Son, Steve Orgovan Jr. (Jolene) Chester, WV., Son, Jody Orgovan of East Liverpool, OH., Daughter, Bridget (Orgovan) Williams (Douglas Williams) of New Cumberland, WV., Daughter Danielle (Orgovan) Myers (Mike Myers) of East Liverpool, OH., and 7 grandchildren, and he was expecting his first great-grandchild. Steve also has several siblings that are being left behind or have passed on.

Steve served in the United States Army. He was a member of the 6/32nd Field Artillery, known as the “Proud Americans.” Steve was a proud Vietnam Veteran and was proud to have served his country.

Steve worked in the aggregate industry for 47 years. He operated heavy equipment, held managerial positions, and loved to educate young people.  Steve worked for industry leaders such as Dravo, Martin Marietta and finally hung up his hard hat with Bryan Materials Group out of Pittsburgh, on December 28, 2019. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Steve’s name to the Chester American Legion Post 121 @404 Carolina Ave., Chester, WV.  26034. Attn: Mary Thorn.

In fulfilling Steve’s wishes, no public services are planned, and his family will hold a private celebration of his life. The Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester is assisting the family with these arrangements.
