MOLISH IS NOVEMBER LIONS SCHOLAR OF THE MONTH

Phoebe Molish,17-year-old daughter of Ryan and Jennifer Molish, has been named a Lions Scholar of the Month. She is a senior at Oak Glen High School and resides in New Cumberland, WV.  Phoebe carries a 4.0 GPA and is involved in many sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities. She is a 4-year letterman in soccer, wrestling statistician, and track. In soccer, Phoebe has won 4 OVAC Championships, 4 Sectional Championships, 3 Regional Championships, has made 3 State Tournament appearances, and was state champion runner-up in 2019. She was named Utility Player of the Year by her coaches and was also a captain this year. In track, Phoebe is a State Champion in the 4×400 relay. She also runs in the 4×100 relay and the 4×200 relay and both were state placers last season. She has been a part of the OVAC All-Academic Team for 4 years. Phoebe is a member of Pep Club, Key Club, Prom Committee, and National Honor Society. She is the Senior Class Secretary and has been a student council representative for 4 years. She was voted on the Prom Court her Junior year and the Sadie Hawkins Court this year. Phoebe is in the Health Care Career Technical Education program at the John D Rockefeller Career Center. She has completed her program and works as a certified nursing assistant at Orchards at Foxcrest in Chester, WV. She has received the Governor’s Workforce Credential and she is in the National Technical Honor Society. Phoebe is also a member of Everyday Church in Chester, WV. She is active in the youth program there and has been involved in many community outreach events. After graduation, Phoebe plans to attend West Virginia Northern Community College to further her nursing credentials and become a registered nurse. Her ultimate career goal is to be a nurse anesthetist.
