OBITUARY FLOYD RIDDLE

Floyd “Leroy” Riddle Jr, 87, of Newell, passed away November 20, 2021.

Born Jan17, 1934 in Burgettstown, Pa., he was the son of the late Floyd and Anna Riddle.

Leroy graduated from Wells High School. He proudly served in the United States Army, during the Korean War. He was a retired Custodian for Hancock County School and formerly worked for Globe Brick. A member of the Chester V.F.W., Grace Baptist Temple and he attended the Nesley Chapel.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Riddle, two sons-in-law, Leon Swiger, Randy McVay and a sister, Shirley May.

Surviving are his devoted wife of 63 years, Delores (McCune) Riddle of Newell; three daughters, Rose McVay of Newell, Sara Swiger of Chester and Lisa  Godwin (John Richard) of Newell; a son, Lee (Christy) Riddle of Negley; nine grandchildren, Christy, Brian, Jennifer, Jeremiah, Amanda, Phillip, Shelby, Brittany and Cody; twelve great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Riddle of New Cumberland, Jack Riddle of Florida and FranK Riddle of Follansbee; two sisters, Jean Gardner of South Carolina and Betty Hopper of South Carolina; and special friend, Frank Morrison of Newell.Visitation is Tuesday, November 23, from 5-7 pm, at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, WV, where funeral service will be at 11am. Wednesday, 
November 24, 2021. The American Legion Post 121 and VFW Post 450 Honor Guard will conduct military honors.

 Interment will follow in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, Newell, WV.
