OBITUARY: Debra K/ Cunningham

Debra K. Cunningham, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully at the Weirton Medical Center on Monday, December 13, 2021. She was 66 years old.

She was born in Weirton on February 17, 1955,  a daughter of the late Delbert and Violet Klakos Hearn. A graduate of Oak Glen High School, Debra lived in the Weirton area most of her life; she was everyone’s “Gam” and Mother to All.

Her nurturing ways and selfless persona made everyone she encountered feel at peace. A very spiritual person, Debra’s kind and loving ways transcended itself through her actions; she made everyone feel they had a purpose.

Debra’s love for antiques and finding the right bargain was the highlight of her day. In addition, she found great joy in planting her flowers, taking many pictures, and giving love to her animals. Her most recent endeavor was the enjoyment she found from Tik-Tok; she loved Tik-Tok and the 100 followers she had amassed.

In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her daughter Erin Elizabeth Faulkner, brother Donald Hearn, and brother-in-law Danny  Griffin.

Remembering Debra with love and great admiration for over 30 years is her husband Clarence Cunningham of Weirton, son Christopher (Becky) Cunningham of New Cumberland, daughter Kelly (Mark) Dilullo of Weirton, brothers Rick (Nancy) Hearn of Amsterdam, OH., Dennis Hearn of Columbus, OH., sisters Patricia (Everett) Spurlock of New Manchester, Barbara Griffin of Weirton, grandchildren Markelle and Mark Dilullo, and many nieces and nephews.

Debra’s request for cremation has been honored. No services are planned at this time.

When the flowers bloom in the springtime, please remember her with a smile and pleasant thought
