SWARTZMILLER SEEKS STATE SENATE SEAT

Former Delegate Randy Swartzmiller has mailed candidacy papers to the WV Sec. of State’s office for the 1st District State Senate. Swartzmiller will file on the Democratic ticket for the seat currently held by Sen. Owens Brown who was appointed recently to fill the unexpired term of Sen. William Ihlenfeld who resigned when appointed by Pres. Biden as a Federal Attorney. Brown was chosen from three candidates which included Swartzmiller and Del. Phil Diserio by Gov. Jim Justice to fil the unexpired Senate seat.

First elected to the House of Delegates is 2000, Swartzmiller most recently was the Democratic candidate for the 1st District Senate against Sen. Ryan Weld (R) of Brooke County.

Swartzmiller and his wife, Jeanmarie, resident in Chester and have two daughters, Molly and Taylor.
