HANCOCK SCHOOLS WORKING ON NEW WEBSITE

A new website will soon better serve the students and parents and in Hancock County.   The Board of Education heard a presentation on the features of the website from Steve McKinney, director of Technology for the County.  McKinney said the site  is being worked on live, therefore there will not be one day when the new website debuts.  Superintendent Dawn Petrovich said the website will be more user-friendly.  While each school currently has their own informational page, the link for each school will now contain all the necessary information and news and will be located on the Hancock County School website.   Petrovich said that each school has a designated person who will be trained on the Hancock County website.

A policy regarding Title III will be put out in the near future.   Petrovich said they have been working with attorneys at DinsmoreShohl and the current policy will be divided into two parts, one part specifically for sexual harassment.  Two individuals within the administration have been designated to handle those issues:  Sarah Parson and Chris Enochs.
