ELECTION 2022 – NEW FILINGS JAN. 26

   As the Jan 29th deadline nears, filing for the 2022 election has escalated.  Barry Lee Wendell of Morgantown has filed as a Democratic Candidate in the 2nd District Congressional Race.  On the County level,    Frederick John Morello, Jr. has filed as a Republican candidate against Republican Sandy Casto for the Hancock County Circuit Clerk. 

    As of 4 p.m., the non-partisan  Hancock County Board of Education now has incumbent Danny Kaser – Grant District; Christina Fair, Jim Horstman, Phil Rujak, and Dr. Greg Baldt, all from Clay District; and Gerard Spencer – Butler District vying for three seats.  No more than two board members may be from the same district.  Current Board members with  terms set to expire in 2024 are Larry Shaw, Grant, and Chris Gillette – Butler.

     Two Democrats have filed for the Hancock County Democratic Committee (female) Pam Allison and Kathy Link.

     Republican Executive Committee (female) include Liz Baldt, Lori Ogden, Christine Pierce, Melanie Trelaine,  Carol Village, Rose Arnold, Peggy Ann Baldt and Donna Zook.

     Republican Executive Committee (male) candidates include Greg Baldt, Tom Ogden, Marcus Trelaine, George Romage,  Ricky Eric Baldt and Mark Tetrault.

    Republican Congressional Executive Committee (male) candidates are George Romage, George Village, Mark Zatezalo and John Mihalyo.  Female candidates are Barb Majoris and Carol Village
