Delegate Pat McGeehan, (R-1st) will now have an opponent in the General Election. Attorney Jack Woods, a Democrat, filed his candidacy papers for the 1st District seat by mail. Seth Cheuvront, a resident of Grant District, also filed for the non-partisan race for the Hancock County School Board. Cheuvront’s filing now brings the number of candidates for the School Board to 8.

Weirton City Councilman George Ash filed as a Cley District for the Democratic Executive Committee. Ash has no opponent as of press time.
