The National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (NFLCC), which has over 3,000 members from all 50 states, will be holding its First Annual Pittsburgh Area Meet at the Weirton (WV) Holiday Inn from Thursday, April 28 to Saturday, April 30, 2022. Although the meet is for members of the NFLCC and Old Reel Collectors Club, the public is invited to bring in old (pre-1960s) fishing tackle for sale or appraisement on Saturday morning from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. Old tackle can include wooden or metal lures, reels, creels, rods, including fly fishing rods and tackle boxes. There will be a $5 fee to enter the show. The meet is sanctioned by the NFLCC.
The National Fishing Lure Collectors Club (NFLCC) is a non-profit, educational, international organization founded in 1976. The primary mission of the NFLCC is to promote the awareness of tackle collecting as a hobby and the preservation of vintage and collectible tackle information. The Old Reel Collectors Club, Inc. (ORCA) was founded locally in Weirton in 1989 and has nearly 800 members from all over the globe. ORCA is also a non-profit organization.
