Ronald Henry Jennelle passed away in his sleep April 13, 2022.
Ron was born September 26, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the only child to the late Henry Newton and Laverne (Stringert) Jennelle.
Ron was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 plus years Gretchen (Biddle) Jennelle in 2020.
Ron graduated from Oliver High School in Pittsburgh, PA. After High School he joined the US Army for a couple of years, and was also in the National Guard.
Ron worked for American Optical for over 20 years. Soon after he started his own company Ophthalmic Instruments in Foster City, CA.
Ron retired in 2000 moving back to New Cumberland, WV with his wife and dogs.
Surviving are Ron and Gretchen’s three kids, Jennifer Jennelle (David Traviss) of Spirit Lake, Idaho; David (Raelynn) Jennelle of San Carlos, CA; two twin boys Kris Jennelle, 2 great grandkids of Pacific, WA; Michael Jennelle, 3 great grandkids of Puyallup, A; Matthew (Barbara Jane Dietz) Jennelle of Weirton, WV.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hancock Animal Shelter or the Hancock Senior Center.
Ron would also like to say Thank You to all the Nurses and Physical Therapists who helped him.
Graveside services will be held at the New Cumberland Cemetery on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 12:00pm with Pastor Bill Stout officiating.
Turley Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
