Janis Marie Schmid, 67, of Wooster, OH passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital Weirton Medical Center.
    She was born June 14, 1954 in Las Vegas, NV a daughter of the late Richard Albert & Vera Mae (Armstrong) Rowland.
    Janis was a retired Nurse from Wooster Community Hospital; and was a member of Nessly Chapel UMC.
    Surviving are her children, Scott (Amber) Schmid of Dayton, OH and Ryan (Kelly) Schmid of Raleigh, NC; her brother Richard M. (Terri) Rowland of McKees Rocks, PA; 6 grandchildren Alexander, Cameron, Cora, Blake, Madison and Taylor Schmid.
    Friends will be received Thursday from 6 – 8 pm at Turley Funeral Home.
    Services will be there on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Bob Macek officiating.  Interment will follow in New Cumberland Cemetery.
