WHEELING, W.VA – West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) will offer a 10-week Welding Institute over the summer starting June 2 through August 12, 2022. The course will run Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily.

 The Summer Welding Institute is designed to provide the skills necessary to enter the workforce immediately upon completion. Participants in this short-term intensive welding program will complete courses that includes OSHA 10, SMAW I & II, blueprint reading, MIG, TIG and essential soft skills to help prepare for a career. Certificates will be awarded in OSHA 10 General Industry and students will have the opportunity to test for welding certifications in SMAW vertical, and 3 position plate welds, MIG and TIG plate welds, and pipe welds.
