So, how was your weekend? We were busy hearing a story, making Father’s Day projects and hanging out with our friends, here at the library.

This week, we have Build Club on Tuesday at 4:00 and Chess Club on Thursday at 4:00. Come on out and have some fun. We have sooooooo many building things to choose from, no matter your age.

Have y’all been working on your reading charts for our Summer Beads to Read Challenge? If you haven’t stopped in to get your chart, we still have some waiting for you. And don’t forget the Weekly Book Challenge. Last week was a FISH and this week is a SEAL. When you read a book about the Special Ocean Animal for the week, you’ll earn your Special Animal Bead.

Did you hear about our KNOT Challenge? Every week, you’ll learn how to make a new knot. Stop in and get your KNOT Bag, complete with rope and directions, learn how to make the knot, bring it in to show us you can do it, and you’ll get your Knot Tying Brag Tag for the week.

Have you signed up for our Summer Reading Week? It’s going to be June 27 – July 1 from either 12:30 -2 or 4-5:50. We have stories, crafts, hands on projects, snacks and so much more, planned for the week. You’ve gotta have your kiddo(s) here for all the fun. Please be sure to register them so we have a good count for everything. Then bring them to whichever time frame is best for you.

Don’t forget that Storytime is every Wednesday at 11:00 for kiddos up through age 5. We’re following the Summer theme of Oceans of Possibilities.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 25 from 11-1 for our Youth Garden Club. For this month’s meeting, we’ll be making bird houses and rocks for our gardens. Our Garden Club will be meeting once a month on a Saturday. Be sure to keep watching for all the news on it.

There’s so much going on at the library this summer. You’ve just got to be a part of all the fun.

We want to be sure you’re fully stocked up on books for this weekend coming. We will be closed Saturday, June 18 for Juneteenth, and Monday, June 20 for WV Day. So be sure to come in and get all the things you need for the weekend, before we close at 5:00 on Friday, June 17.

Hope you’re enjoying your summer and filling it with lots of good books.
