Charles “Chuck” Mayhew, 59, of Weirton, WV, passed away June 28, 2022, after a brave battle with cancer.Born April23, 1963 in Follansbee, WV, he was the son of the late Ervin “Jack” and Betty (Forrester) Mayhew.He was a former construction worker for Oliver Construction. Chuck was an avid NASCAR and Steeler fan.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Cooper; and two brothers, Terry Resseger and Robert Mayhew.Surviving are his devoted wife, Kathy (Cooper) Mayhew of Weirton; two daughters, Tara Mayhew (Shawn) of Weirton and Cierra Mayhew and son-in-law, Doug of Weirton; four grandchildren, Austin, Jonathan , Cianna and Scarlett; two brothers, Ronnie Resseger of New Cumberland and Dennis Mayhew of Weirton; and three sisters, Barb Kasper of Wellsburg, Sharon Leasure of Belmont and Peggy Cooper of Sistersville.Visitation is Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 3pm until time of funeral service at 5pm, at the Nixon Funeral Home, New Cumberland, WV.
