YOUR IMAGINATION STATION with Miss Connie

Ok, I think we are finally caught up from our Summer Reading Camp, so it’s time to get y’all caught up as well. We apologize for taking so long to update everyone, but we’ve gotta be honest, it was a busy, tiring week. And then last week, we spent time wrapping everything up and organizing everything, getting everything logged, and getting it all packed away. So where’d we leave off? That’s right, with Wednesday.

We started our morning off with Miss Amy reading Clam I Am and then we broke off into our different groups to work on our crafts. But, before we separated, Miss Amy took the kiddos over to our display cabinet, where she opened the glass doors and everyone could smell the ocean. Once separated into our groups, the “Littles” made clams out of paper plates and lots of sand, while the “Bigs” went outside to make clam ornaments.

Back together again for snacks, Miss Amy read Clark the Shark and we made clam snacks out of Nilla wafers, blue icing and yogurt covered raisins, and we had Mermaid punch to drink. We all get rehydrated, visited with each other and then separated again to our groups, where the “Littles” heard a story about Swimmy and made a fish project out of sea shells. The “Bigs” went back outside to make shark bookmarkers and shark gliders. Miss Amy gave them an origami shark to take home and make, bring back the next day and get a prize out of the treasure box.

And just like that, day three was in the books.
