A check for $4,000.00 for the New Cumberland War Memorial on Court Street was delivered at Monday’s Council meeting by Sen. Ryan Weld (right). Community Service Director George Hines (left) accepted the check for the City and said plans are to hook-up electric to the Memorial area to make is visible at night and do landscaping. The Memorial, which was built in the 1950’s, honors servicemen from the town.
