CITY DESIGNATES ‘WEBBY WAY’ IN HONOR OF FORMER CITY COUNCILMAN BRIAN WEBSTER

The New Cumberland Riverfest opened Saturday with a performance with the Oak Glen High School Band. Mayor Will White opened the Riverfest with by commemorating three individuals who were integral to the community: the late John Kuzio who was a long-time inspiration to students and adults in town and always brought his wood carvings to the festival. A talented musician, and much-beloved former Oak Glen teacher, late John Edwards always opened the Riverfest with the National Anthem.

Mayor White said that Councilman Webster’s involvement in New Cumberland was great. His accidental death occurred one year ago, on opening day. In recognition of Websters contribution to his community, White unveiled a plaque designated River Avenue “Webby Way.”
