OBITUARY: LEONARD SIX

Leonard Six, 97, of New Cumberland, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Blossom Nursing Home.Born, March 30, 1925, in New Cumberland, WV., he was the son of the late Clarence and Roberta Hobbs Six.Leonard retired from Weirton Steel where he worked for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.He was a member of the First Christian Church in Chester.  Leonard was a hard-working man and very meticulous in many ways, taking great pride in his garden. Most of all he will be remembered as intelligent, generous, kind, and a great provider for his family.Leonard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mable Moore Six, by his twin brother, C. Lester Six, and his son-in-law, Chuck Gracie. He will be deeply missed by his son, Mark (Kelly) Six of Chester; daughter, Andrea Gracie of New Cumberland; brothers, Norman (JoAnne) Six of Chester and Wayne Six of Newell. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Benjamin Gracie, Samantha (Tim) Larrick, Ethan, Miranda, and Ryan Six, and by his great-grandchildren, Riley, Hunter, Christian, Gracyn, and Jimmy.Pastor Dennis Arnold will celebrate Leonard’s life, Tuesday, November 22, at 11:00 AM, at First Christian Church in Chester. Entombment will be held at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell. The United States Navy Honor Guard and VFW Post 6450 Honor Guard will accord military honors   Friends may visit with the family, Monday, November 21, 2022, from 2-8:00 PM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel.
