Michael Sloss, 75, of New Cumberland, passed away December 17, 2022.
Born April 1, 1947 in Franklin, Pa, he was the son of the late Raymond and Viola (Dolby) Sloss.
Mr. Sloss served in the United States Army. He was a retired Larry Car Operator from Wheeling Pitt.
Mike was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Men’s group. He held membership with the American Legion and VFW of Weirton. Michael was an avid Steeler and Pirates fan and an avid hunter and fishermen.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Sloss.
Surviving are his devoted wife, Ban (Nguyen) Sloss of New Cumberland; two sons, Raymond (Veronica) Sloss of Colliers and Joseph (Robyn) Sloss of Weirton; two daughters, Darlene (Tim) Williams of New Manchester and Linda (Richard) Ellis of Weirton; and three grandchildren, Nina, Cassidy and Cullen; and one great-grandchild, Paizley; a brother, John Sloss of Pa; and a sister, Ellen Whited of Pa.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home, New Cumberland, WV, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
Interment will follow in New Cumberland Cemetery. Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 121 and the VFW Post 6450 Honor Guard.
