The Hancock County School Board dealt with personnel issues at its Monday, May 23 meeting.:
**Accepted the resignation of Ted Arneault as Assistant Football Coach at Oak Glen. Arneault has been named the Head Football Coach at Madonna High School where he began his coaching career. Arneault will continue in his position as Assistant Principal at Weirton Elementary School.
**Accepted the resignation of John J. Pennacchiio, Jr. as Assistant Boys Traci at Weir Middle School’
**Accepted the resignation of Leah Kalkstein as countywide substitute teacher;
**Approved the assignment of Carolyn Book as school nurse at Oak Glen High School and Ty Logston as substitute teacher countywide;
**Approved the following coaching assignments: Weir High Ron Cross, asst. Basketball, and Sarah Young, asst. Girls’ Track; Oak Glen High, Travis Simpson, asst. Boys’ Track and Ty Logston, asst. Baseball;
**Granted a leave of absence for Jennifer Gallo, Supervisory Aide/AM, Weirton Elementary School; Mark Sabbato, Allison Elementary; and Carolyn Pukarich, Custodian II, Weir High;
**Transferred Thanachakorn Boeham from Supervisory Aide IV/AM, Weirton Elementary to Supervisory Aidee II-IV/AM, Weir Middle; and James Shields from Supervisory Aide II/AM, Weirton Elementary to Supervisory Aide II-IV, Transportation Dept.;
**Approved Kimberly Beagle as substitute custodian and Matthew A.. Saggio substitute bus driver..Lonnie Boyles from substitute custodian to /custodian II, New Manchester’ Nicole Hurst from Substiitute Bus Operator to Bus Operator #207; Kiesha Shimon, Substitute Bus Operator;
**Stephanie Richards was approved as a Cook II, Allison Elementary to fill a leave of absence and Diane Greco was approved as a supervisory Aide II-IV AM, Weirton Elementary to fill a leave of absence.
**Appointed Chase Willis as Weir High Assistant Wrestling Coach;
**Granted T.L.Williams, music teacher, teaching in lieu of planning.
**Permissission was granted for the Weir High Future Business Leaders of America to travel to Huntington for State competition on March 12-14.
The Board is slated for its next regular meeting at Weir High Feb. 13.
