OPEN HOUSE SET FOR FORM ENERGY APRIL 27 & 28

In December of 2022, Form Energy, an American technology company developing a new class of multi-day, iron-air batteries, announced plans to locate its first high volume battery manufacturing facility at the site of the old Weirton Steel plant in Weirton, West Virginia. Today, Form Energy shared that it will host open house meetings at the Weirton Millsop Community Center on April 27th and 28th to provide an opportunity for the community to meet members of the company’s leadership team and learn about its battery technology, factory construction timeline, and types of roles that it will be hiring for in the future at the Weirton facility which will ultimately employ more than 750 people when operating at full capacity. Form Energy plans to start construction on its Weirton factory in 2023 and scale up manufacturing of its iron-air battery systems in 2024.
