ALPHA DELTA KAPPA MEETS

Alpha Delta Kappa, International Honorary Organization for Women Educators held its April meeting the Swaney Memorial Library. Amy Hannahs, President, called the meeting to order.

Chaplain Kathy Griffith gave a reading of “Desiderata” by Max Ehrmann. Secretary Velda Icard took roll and distributed copies of the March minutes for approval. Treasurer Angela Cunningham gave the financial report. Committee reports were also presented.  Applications for the groups’ scholarship were presented by chairman Pam Robinson. They were reviewed and the recipients will be invited to the May meeting to receive their award.

Susan Gracie, Fraternity Education Chairman, did a “Fast Facts” activity with the group.

Steve McKinney, Technology Director for Hancock County Schools, presented a program on Cyber Safety. A variety of topics were covered and the members participated in a question/answer session.

The May meeting will be a picnic and recognition of the scholarship recipients.
