Sam Webster, age 18, the son of Bart and Mandie Webster is the Lions Scholar for May. He is a resident of New Cumberland, W. Sam has been a member of the Oak Glen Tack team since his sophomore year and a member of the Cross Country Team since his junior year. He is a two-year member of Oak Glen High School’s National Honor Society. He was a member of the Junior Prom Court. Sam loves running and has competed in independent events including the EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler 10K event where he finished 1st in his age division. He competed as part of the Boy’s Cross Country team that in 2021 won the OVAC Cross Country Division 4A Championship and competed at the WV Cross Country state championship meet. Sam is also an avid E-Sports gamer. He loves playing competitive video games and hopes to one day become a professional gamer in his favorite E-Sports league. Sam has been accepted into the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at WU where he will be attending this fall. Sam plans to major in Aerospace Engineering
