Michael Deckman, a representative of newly-elected Congressman Alex Mooney, briefly addressed the Hancock County Commission at Thursday’s meeting.  Deckman told the Commission that Mooney’s Congressional office stands ready to assist them in any way possible.  Mooney has established regional offices in Charleston and Morgantown to handle constituency service, .  Mooney defeated the District’s Congressman David McKinley when the census revealed a populated loss in the State which triggered the loss of one Congressman taking the State from three congressman to two.

In other  business Commissioners approved:

**Advertising for four vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Board.   Two of the members will be must be from Clay while two must be from Butler District;

**Approved Dustin Lang as a member of the Sheriff’s Reserves.

**Made a request from the Rt.2/I68 Authority for a $4,000.00 donation a matter of record.

**Appointed John Sorrenti to the Nothern Panhandle Workforce Development Board Executive Committee. Commissioner Eron Chek noted that Sorrenti serves as President of that Board.

**Approved revision #1 in the Coal Severance revenue for 2023-2024;

**Set the next Commission meeting for July 27 at 2 p.m.
