- William S. “Bill” Thorn, 68, of East Liverpool, passed suddenly due to natural causes, Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at his residence.Born, March 16, 1955, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Robert Thorn and Betty Humphrey McGurren.Bill was a graduate of East Liverpool High School in 1974. He later retired as Safety Coordinator from Allegheny Ludlum in Midland.Bill was a past master of East Liverpool Masonic Lodge #681, currently serving as the treasurer.He was an accomplished and gifted craftsman who enjoyed working with his hands. He made custom pieces for his family and enjoyed creating stained glass windows. Bill wasn’t much for words, but he was giving with his time and effort. He believed in the importance of helping others and his legacy would always be one of kindness and compassion. His family, especially his grandchildren, were the light of his life. Bill was the best grandpa who adored his grandchildren. He would always attend their sporting events and school activities and loved cheering them on.Bill will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Diane Wolfe Thorn, whom he married on October 1, 1975. He will also be missed by his daughter, Marissa Tucker and her husband, Paul of Huntsburg, OH; son, Shaun Thorn and his wife, Sarah of Berlin Center, OH.; brother, Kenny Thorn and his wife, Mary of Chester and grandchildren, Macy and Carter Tucker and William S. and Katelyn Thorn.Visitation will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Arner Funeral Chapel, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM
