COUNTY COMMISSION HEARS POSITIVE REPORT ON SENIOR CENTER

The Hancock County Commission heard from Betty Whelan of the Hancock County Senior Center when they met for their regular meeting Thursday. Whelan addressed the Commission to advise them of what a difference the Center makes to the senior citizens of the County.

“You have no idea what a jewel you have in this county,” said Whelan who said the socialization and activities provided by the center is a valuable resource and the center appreciates all the support the Commissioners have given the Center.

In other business,

**The Commissioners approved the County Clerk’s record room vendor change from GovOS to Compile Technologies. County Clerk Karan Valenti noted the change will save the County money;

**Hired Kayla Reese as a Deputy Clerk in the County Clerk’s office;

**Approved probates and estates;

**Approved 11 exoneration orders;

**Approved the payment of $130.854.64 in County bills and $16,555.55 on the P card;

**Announced the next Commission meeting will be Oct. 26 at 2:30 p.m. The Commission will meet again on November 9 at 2:30 p.m. and on November 21 at 2:30 p.m..
