NEW CUMBERLAND LIONS REGULAR MEETING

Vice President Sally Greathouse brought the meeting to order.  The Prayer was offered by Lion Rick Tinsky and Lion Alan Lee led the Pledge of Allegiance.  The minutes were accepted as read.   Communications: A thank you was received from a local resident for assistance from the New Cumberland Lions Club with a vision exam.  The treasurer’s report was placed on file for audit.  A motion was made by Lion Dorothy Hawkes with a second by Lion Rick Tinsky to donate to the local Food Closet and to the Blue Star Mothers, who send items to active service members overseas.  Lion Jeanne Cox will be working on the Christmas tree decorating project at the Swaney Library.  The Christmas Parade is December 9 beginning at 5:00 p.m.  The New Cumberland Lions Club will provide hot chocolate after the parade.  Set up for this will be at 4:30 in the City Garage.  The Chairman of the By-Laws committee has contacted members to begin the process, providing each a copy of the International By-Laws to be used as a template.  The next meeting is the Christmas party on December 12 beginning at 6:00 p.m. It will be held at the Christian Church.  Entertainment will be provided.  There will be no meetings after this until the January 9 regular meeting.  With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
