Kathryn I. Hoder , 67, of New Cumberland, WV passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at Brightwood Center nursing home in Follansbee,WV.

    Kathy was born May 29, 1956 the eldest daughter of the late Carl & Kathleen Leisure.

    Kathy enjoyed being close with family and friends, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren who were with her often.

    She was a devoted housewife who enjoyed holiday family gatherings, and playing Mario Brothers; watching movies and she had a love for hummingbirds.

    Kathy is survived by her children;Kenneth Baker Sr., Richard Mayhew, Michael (Christy) Baker and April (BJ) Staley; nine grandchildren Kenneth Baker Jr., Evan Baker, Aaron Baker, Bentley Baker, Abigail Baker, Breanna Staley, Khloey Staley, Jackson Staley and Wyatt Staley and 2 Nieces.

    Kathy is preceded by her beloved husband John Hoder, 2 sisters Ethel Townsend & Debbie Richards and 1 brother Rick Leisure.

    Friends will be received Thursday 6 – 8 pm at Turley Funeral Home.

    Services will be there Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
