JUDGE RON WILSON MAKES HIS RE-ELECTION RUN OFFICIAL

Judge Ron Wilson makes his candidacy for re-election official. He filed the necessary paperwork with the Secretary of State for re-election of Judge in the First Judicial Circuit of West Virginia. He is in his 43rd year on the bench, representing residents in Ohio, Hancock, and Brooke Counties.

“I am proud to say I always strive to be fair and to do what is right, since a judge’s conduct should always generate public trust in the judiciary,” says Judge Wilson. “It is critical for the community to have a judge who makes decisions based on the law and that has always guided me.”

Judge Wilson is the 2023 inaugural recipient of the West Virginia Bar Association’s Judge Fred Stamp Award for Judicial Excellence. The West Virginia Association for Justice named Wilson Judge of Year in 2013. He served as the chairperson of the Judicial Investigation Commission for 10 years and has voluntarily served as the judge over the thousands of asbestos personal injury cases in West Virginia for the past 21 years. For the past 12 years he has served as chairperson of the Judicial Investigation Commission which investigates misconduct of judges. He is a Past President of the WV Judicial Association and is a life-long West Virginian, proud to have raised his family in the Northern Panhandle. He has served the people of Ohio, Brooke, and Hancock Counties for more than five terms. The election is on May 14, 2024.
