ENERGY EXPRESSS APPLICATIONS READY

[Hancock County, February 1, 2024] – Hancock County is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 Energy Express Youth Application, marking the beginning of an exciting journey into the world of literacy and learning for children in grades 1-6.
Energy Express, an award winning free summer reading program, has been a beacon of educational enrichment for youth, fostering a love for reading and exploration. This year, the program is set to take place at Weirton Elementary from June 17 to July 26.
Energy Express isn’t just about books; it’s a comprehensive initiative designed to ignite curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong passion for learning. Through engaging activities, mentorship, and a supportive environment, participants are encouraged to expand their horizons and unlock their full potential.
“We’re thrilled to kick off another summer of Energy Express in Hancock County,” said Zachary White, Hancock County Extension Agent. “Our goal is to provide children with an enriching experience that not only strengthens their literacy skills but also nurtures their imagination and love for learning.”
