Elizabeth (Betty) Taylor, 92, of Weirton passed away peacefully Monday February 19, 2024, at Weirton Medical Center with her family at her side following a brief illness. Betty was born March 26,1931 in Jacksonburg, WV to the late James and Eliza Willey. She was proceeded in death by her husband Marshall Taylor in 1991 and 6 sisters (Phyllis Willey, Donna Jean Carroll, Naomi Johnson, Mary Jo Adkins, Pat Rindler, Sherry Snyder), one brother (Thomas Willey), one son (Robert Taylor), and one grandson (Brent Taylor). She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother. Betty was a member of the Paris Nazarene Church Paris, PA. Betty loved the Lord and started her day by reading the scriptures from her bible. She leaves behind 4 children James (Sheri) Taylor, Kathi (Jim) Sands, Douglas (MaryAnn) Taylor, and Barbara (William Gump) Urbowicz, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday February 22, 2024 from 1pm to 3pm and 5pm to 7pm at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell where services will be held on Friday at 9am. Interment will follow at shadow Lawn of Newell.
