The New Cumberland Festival and Parade Committee is selling commemorative bricks to help raise funds for their beautification project along River Avenue.  The bricks are available in two sizes—4 X 8 inches and 8 X 8 inches.  The smaller ones have 3 lines of text, 20 characters per line including spacing and punctuation, and the larger ones have 6 lines of text with the same number of characters per line.  These decorative bricks are a permanent and public way to honor or remember a friend or loved one.  New Cumberland’s River Avenue already has a river overlook, a pavilion, benches, flowers, and historical markers.  There is also a display of commemorative bricks along the front of the pavilion area, and all new bricks will be placed in the same area.  The cost for the bricks is $50 for the 4 X 8 and $100 for the 8 X 8 sizes. For each brick you purchase, you will receive a mini brick replica.  Additional replicas can also be purchased.   Bricks will be ordered in lots of 100 and will be laid accordingly.  A member of the committee will contact you when your brick is placed.  Please help the committee in their beautification efforts by purchasing a commemorative brick that will make a lasting impression.  Order forms are available at the New Cumberland City Building or by calling city clerk Tammy Jenkins at 304-564-3964.
