Flood water that moved faster than anticipated resulted in some residents needing to be rescued by boat, with ambulances removing he most vulnerable from flooding residents, said New Cumberland Mayor Will White.

The water was supposed to crest at 37 feet, but instead is expected to crest at 40 feet at 1:15 p.m. today according to White.
